Students of GIPS celebrated third day of Social Science Week on July 19, 2017. In the morning assembly, Navdeep Kaur student of class XII expressed her views about the importance of Indian Constitution. Harmandeep Kaur, Ravneet Kaur, Amandeep Kaur students of classes IX, XII expressed their views on the topic ‘Gender Inequality’.
A play ‘Struggle for Freedom’ was also presented by students from VIII to X classes. They showed how the Britishers brutally treated Indian freedom fighters and how the Indian patriots sacrificed their lives for the cause of the freedom. They showed how Indians made hard efforts to overthrow the British rule from India. With the sacrifices of the great Indian leaders like Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Sukhdev Singh, Lala Lajpat Ray, Lala Hardayal, they are breathing in free India.
Ms. Poonam Dogra, Vice-Principal told the students that Social Science plays the vital role in every student’s life as from this only we came to know about glories of India. She appreciated the work done by students.
